Juwai hosts events for property buyers to learn about the overseas property market. However, attendance was low due to a lack of promotion. To fix this, we created a new event channel on Juwai.com to serve as a hub for promoting and organizing events. We also developed a content management system (CMS) to help our team manage the channel more easily.
To understand why our attendance rate was low, we looked at how we promoted our events. At the time, our marketing team handled event promotion, but they relied on the design and development teams to create and publish landing pages. These pages went on the Daily News section of our website, where they often got lost among the news articles.
Our goal was to create a new channel dedicated to event promotion and give the marketing team a way to design event landing pages on their own. We planned to do this by creating a landing page template that would work for all events and using a content management system (CMS).
To get started, I examined our existing landing pages for different types of events like live shows, online conferences, seminars, and summits. The biggest challenge was creating a flexible landing page template that could easily fit any event.
On the Juwai website and app, users can access the event channel homepage or landing pages through the navigation menu and event promotion banners on the homepage.
On the Event Channel homepage, we listed events like movie posters to make them more recognizable and engaging for attendees. Once users click on these "event posters," they are taken to different event landing pages.
For the event landing page template, we divided it into multiple modules such as header banners, event summary, gallery, guests and speakers, event timeline, and sponsors. The marketing team can easily update these modules using the CMS to build and publish landing pages efficiently.
